IMPERFECTLY AWESOME 3.0: A SUMMIT OF RESILIENCE, AUTHENTICITY & INCLUSION
In a world where perfection is often glorified and vulnerability seen as weakness, a bold platform is rewriting that narrative—one conversation at a time.
The third edition of Imperfectly Awesome Conversations Summit, hosted by transformation coach and author Dr. Omotola Bamigbaiye, held on Sunday, April 13, at the Muson Centre in Lagos—and it did more than gather professionals.
It sparked a movement. Born out of the pages of her best-selling book Imperfectly Awesome, the summit has evolved into a transformative experience—blending personal stories, deep reflection, and professional insight across three powerful themes: Resilience, Authenticity, and Inclusion.
The day kicked off with a charged panel on resilience, featuring marketing and business leaders who have walked the walk—and lived to share their scars and successes.
Omolara Banjoko, Marketing Manager at FrieslandCampina, brought the conversation home—drawing from her childhood, career, and motherhood. She emphasized that values like emotional control, consistency, and precision are not just soft skills—they’re success tools. Alex Goma, Managing Consultant at BusinessMax Consulting, tackled resilience in high-pressure sales.
The second panel turned inward—zooming in on authenticity and leadership. Dr. Folake Fadahunsi, Funke Fajusigbe, Coach Ralph Ayua, Dr. Tewa Onasanya, and Mr. Bamijoko Okupe all delivered raw, insightful perspectives on vulnerability in leadership—and the power of showing up as your full self in high-stakes spaces. For Osato Evbuomwan, Marketing Director at Moët Hennessy, authenticity and resilience begin in the mind.
The final panel explored inclusion—a timely and crucial topic in today’s corporate and social climate. With a compelling opening by Dr. Emeh Emmanuel, the conversation turned toward systemic bias and exclusion in the workplace. The dialogue underscored the power of representation and what it means to stand tall in non-inclusive spaces—especially for women and minorities in leadership.
From soul-baring stories to strategic insights, Imperfectly Awesome Conversations 3.0 did more than host another summit. It created a safe space. A space for truth, connection, and becoming. C
